We have to interrupt your blog briefly to keep you up to date with Russia's richest man Mikhail Prokhorov's news. This week he is planning to kick some yet to be identified ass. Since Prokhorov is not only the richest Russian ($19.5 billion), but also one of the tallest (6.75'), we have to take his words seriously.
So here is what we came across while routinely scanning the oligarch's blog [in Russian]:
"I'd like to share a story which took place last week in Norilsk (Northern industrial town where major Prokhorov's plant is headquartered - ed.). My sister Irina heads the board of my charity fund, which has been organizing a contemporary art festival there. The festival takes place in May, before the norilskians leave for their summer vacations. Irina and her team spent a lot of effort on the festival and it turned out great, as usual. However, on the opening night my sister called me. She was very upset and told me that a group of apparently hired 20-30-year-olds paraded around the opening reception holding posters with negative slogans towards me and my business activities. I am usually very happy when I see expensive negative PR campaigns about me. First of all, I think it is actually an appreciation of my achievements, and second, I am curious to see how people spend their time and money.
However, this situation is different. One of the protesters personally offended my sister. And I am not going to let this go.
I know exactly who paid for this campaign. And you know them too. Their names are well-known, and that's why I am not going to name them here. They offended Irina and tried to damage the charity which does not have anything to do with my business.
Since I was a child, I had a rule -- to punish crudity and disrespect towards women. I see one simple and effective way to handle it: If the two gentlemen, who financed this PR campaign, do not apologize to my sister in the next two weeks, I will do what every man should: I will personally beat the shit out of them. You know that I will."
Whoa! Go Misha!
